Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is a Mexican musician who was born into a family of musicians. She spent most of her youth listening to music from the past, boleros from the past, classic ranchero or romantic songs and older classical songs. Ana enjoys tangos and drama and opera. After singing with her mom at the age of 12, she took up more rigorous training in vocals at age 16 under the tutelage of the renowned Mexican Tenor FlavioBecerra. The musical training continued with the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterward in the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. As a student and when she was a professional young in Mexico City and Guadalajara she sang with several chamber groups as well as choruses. In 2000 she moved back to in the United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Later, in 2007 she moved to her current home in Southern California. She has performed solo Latin American music for private functions and as a member Ensemble XXI in Redlands. The passion and love she has for art, music, and performing has her involved in many local projects as a performer and teacher. Ana was also a member of the Community Chorus of Redlands. The Inland Master Chorale. and the Performance Loft. Ana is grateful for the opportunity to share her passion and love for traditional Latin American songs with others as she hopes to inspire a passion, especially among younger generations, to help keep the music alive and alive.Viva Mexico!
